St John's church, Ruspidge (General)

I'm visiting my Mum in Gloucestershire in a couple of weeks' time and am hoping to get over to the Forest to track down some gravestones.

However, my Google-fu has temporarily deserted me - does anyone have an address for St John's church in Ruspidge? I've not been there since I was about 6 years old and the chances of me remembering how to find it without the help of Multimap are very slim!

If anyone else has any research going on connected to the church, I'd be happy to look for other stones and take pictures while I'm there, if I make it. It's likely to be Sunday morning, so I doubt I'll be going inside as I don't want to disturb any service taking place. I'm also hoping to visit Yew Tree Break cemetary.

Thanks,
Caroline

St John the Evangelist , Cinderford is where I think you should be looking...

< updated - I thought the Website included a map ! sure it used to

anyway the church is on the right hand side coming down St Whites Rd from Littledean hill towards Yew Tree Brake / Speech House. If you reach Cinderford Bridge and start going up hill toward Lightmoor you have missed it ! >

Thanks slowhands - I'd found that, but it only gives an address for the vicarage, not the actual church. Someone's contacted me by email with directions, so I think I know where I'm going now!

Dear Caroline

if you get to the churchyard - could you see if there are any gravestones for the name 'Capener'.

If you find some, any photos would be much appreciated!
