MEEK, RODGERS, ENNIS - Lea, Weston Under Penyard (General)
Hi - There is an anceatral file that may interest someone here
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=af/search_AF.asp&cl...
These families became Mormons and went to the USA, they all seemed to suffer many family deaths in the few years leading up to their departure, epidemics?
Benjamin Meek didn't survive the journey, he died of Cholerea while crossing the plains of Wyoming in a wagon train
My G-Grandmother Hannah Rogers and her sister Elizabeth stayed here, but there seems to have been something of an exodus to the US, whole families.
I have met up with US descendents, they told me that a mountain near Salt Lake City was renamed Ennis Mountain after a former resident of Weston. That Ennis line goes back to Joyford and English Bicknor. Happy to add more info if anyone needs it. Fred
