Kings Head Inn, Cinderford (General)
I dont know if this will help anyone else but it helped me
After looking for infomation found on a census return regarding the Kings Head Inn Woodside I recieved an email from the old glostershire pub site some time ago now
Telling me that the Inn was long gone and no longer standing .
Well after looking over the photo collection for Cinderford I looked at the photos of Woodside again close this time There it is right on the corner name over the door Kings head with a more recent photo under it .
Well once again I have had good luck thanks to FOD !

... however there are a few "Kings Head" pubs in the Forest, and Woodside is used in several hamlets !
for example the old Kings Head in Bream Woodside / Brockhollands - I hope we have not confused you .

Looking at the 1871 census my Robert Banks was then a carpenter /Innkeeper
the Address I always looked under was Abbey st the inn would have been what looks like on the corned of Abbey and Woodside st do you know if the Woodside st in the photo is the same one?

Yes most certainly, No 1 Abbey St, just at the junction of Woodside St Cinderford !
