The Rising Sun is still trading although it has had a complete change of identity.

It has been known as the Gamekeepers Inn since February 1997. The menu boasts such exotic dishes as kangaroo and wild boar. The new name is supposed to reflect the popular menu served in the pubs 60 seat restaurant.

The ales on tap in 1903 were from the Monmouth Brewery; one of only two pubs in Gloucestershire selling the beer. The annual rateable value in 1891 and 1903 was £14.0s.0d. The pub closed at 10 p.m.
