How to find the Jones's after 1901 (General)
Hi to all
Does anybody know how I can trace my Gt Grandparents
I have found them on the 1901 census in the Forest as follows
RG13; Piece: 2420; Folio: 95; Page: 24.
Civil Parish: East Dean
Ecclesiastical parish: Cinderford St John
County/Island: Gloucestershire
Country: England
Address: St Whites
Name Age
Henry T Jones Head 50 Coal heaver
Mary A Jones Wife 51
Miriam K Pinchin Dau 27
Frederick G Jones Son 16 Coal heaver
Hubert Jones Son 14
Robert H Jones Son 12
Richard F Pinchin Grand Son 2 months (My Grandaddy)
(Other children have left home by now)
Firstly I do not know where St whites is ?
And secondly I cannot find any trace of Henry and Mary Ann deaths.Finding JONES is a nightmare. It is a mystery why my Grandfather and Gt Grandmother is in Greenwich London in the 1930's
Miriam died in 1937 in Greenwich ?
Trying to trace this family is a mystery I would love to find out about my family. On past censes Henry T Jones is always listed as Coal heaver 1901,Coal Miner 1891Colliery engine driver 1881.
How would I be able to find which mine he worked at ? Would there still be records?
I would love to know how the family survied? in what dwelling they lived & how they lived in the commnity forest?
If anybody can point me in the correct direction I would be really gratefull
Thanking in advance
Jules
