On the 1881 Census

Henry Inman c1846 age 35 - Bridge Keeper, (Severn) Etloe + his family

Henry Inman was first married to Sarah Jane WICKENDEN - September 1867 Gloucester.

Emily age 12 on the 1881 census, is the daughter of Henry and Sarah.

Sarah Jane WICKENDEN was the daughter of John and Sarah WICKENDEN

The Family are on the 1861, Worcestershire, Fladbury, Pershore, District 1 Page 12 of 18.

John, her father was born in Coln St Andrews, Gloucestershire.

I have a copy of the Will of The Rev William Wickenden (of Etloe) dated 1864
part of which reads.

'To my grand niece Sarah Wickenden daughter of John and Sarah Wickenden of Ipsley Lodge aforesaid my house situate at Etloe together with the furniture husbandry implements pictures carriage harnes and offices'.

So, Sarah married Henry INMAN in Sept 1867 and returned to live in Etloe, where the Wickenden's (my mother's family) lived.

On the 1871 census

Henry INMAN aged 27 Ferryman East Dean
Sarah - aged 21 born Awre
Emily - aged 3

Probably living in the house William Wickenden had left Sarah. Haven't followed through what happened to Emily.
