Wrong name & gender (General)

I have just come into possession of a copy of birth certificate from Waterford Ireland for 1877.

Father was Thomas Haggar born Barkway, Hertfordshire and mother Emma Smith born Coleford, Gloucestershire. The certificate should have read Emily Ruth Haggar- female, but instead it is for a Henry Ruth Haggar - male.

Emma born 1853 is daughter of Elisha Smith & Eliza Teague of Lane End.

It just goes to show accents play a very important role, in our family history, so all those lost Henry or Emily ancestors, there is hope.
