Jane Haile from Longhope b. 1834 (General)

Hello! Has anyone any knowledge of this Jane marrying a George Compton? According to the 1881 cenus (IGI)George Compton and Jane (his wife) were living in part of the Farmers Boy Inn in Longhope but I can't find any record of their marriage to check on Jane's family name. cheers. jane gould
