Hi
Does anyone know if the baptism/marriage and burial records are available on line for Brockweir Moravian Church. I have looked on this site, the Gloucestershire site and the Monmouthshire family history site and not found anything. It is mainly Baptism Records I require for my Grandmother and siblings who I know were baptised there between 1890 and 1910.
Any Info would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Alison

I have just had a look at the Gloucester Archives site and the only records availavle for the Brockweir Moravian Church are the Monument Inscriptions which were recorded in 1986.

Has anyone found any more information about bdm's at the Moravian Church. I have just received some information about the Selby family from Hewelsfield which gives some of their baptisms at Brockweir MC. No wonder I couldn't find them on the Parish Records! I am waiting a reply from the person who sent the information to me as to how he found this out. Most of the Selbys were baptised at Hewelsfield Church so why should some suddenly be baptised at the Moravian Church? My husband's 3x ggrandfather, Shadrach, was baptised at Hewelsfield but according to the information I now have was buried at the Moravian Church although I remember some years ago my father-in-law taking my husband to see his grave in Hewelsfield Churchyard. However,we cannot remember where the grave was and have not been able to find it since - many of the gravestones are illegible and it is not on the list of graves posted inside the church. Can anyone tell me if there are gravestones at the Moravian Church? If so we will have to come over and have a look.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sheila

Can Graham Davidson tell me what happened to the burial records for the Moravian Church. The baptisms are now recorded but I understood the burials were being done as well.

The chap who photographed the records only transcribed the baptisms. I have sent him numerous messages asking him to let me have the imagery or the transcript of burials but to no avail. Sorry.
