Eliza died 1910 and is buried English Bicknor Church (Found out today thanks to Keith). No stone unfortunately.

hi its me again with more info on my niblett family.
I understand that there was a Fred or Frederick Niblett born around 1900 ,who lived in ROCK COTTAGE Coleford which was opposite a pub ? right up untill the 70's. His first wife died of senile dementure -they had a daugher Doreen. His second wife used to play the organ in the church(possible Christchurch). I dont have any details as to the wives names or anything else .I have looked on the parish records and he is not mentioned, although some of the other children of Samuel and Eliza are.

Other info- Beatrice Fanny Niblett born 1899-was looked after by a family named - Gunters after her mother died in 1910 as her father Samuel could not cope with all the children.

Father - Samuel Charles Henry worked as a gardener for a big house in Ross ?.
Can anyone help again please.
Many thanks

Samuel Niblett baptised 11/6/1823- Hewelsfield. Born Harthill. For some reason it does not appear when you search parish records but I have a photocopy of parish register. His parents were Thomas Niblett (bz 9/6/1798) and Ann/Nancy Edwards.
Samuel married twice:
Harriet Roberts widow (nee Hale, father Henry) 14/6/1852 at Parkend. She was buried 31/7/1870 at Christchurch. Hence on 1871 posted by Slowhands he is a widow. If you have not seen the original Steel was the name of the family in the previous house but his name is clearly Niblett.
Ann Little widow (nee Evans, father John)28/10/1871 at Parkend.
Thomas Niblett's parents were John Niblett and Margaret Adams. He was previously married to Elizabeth King.
This John was possibly the son of John and Martha Wilcox.
Hope this is of some help.
Phil

Many thanks lots more info - Beatrice Fanny was our grandmother so right family so please let me have a copy of tree -and can you let me know Mike Niblett details so we can take a look - any details on ROCK COTTAGE and Fred.I know the cencus does not mention him but relatives here say that he was the younger brother of Beatrice, but memories have a knack of distorting past events !!.
What a lot of Niblett's though when we first started it was quite an unusual name- How wrong can you get.
Thanks again look forward to hearing from you all.
