I am trying to establish if the above Thomas Penn is my great grandfather.
In your research his son Thomas was born in 1857, in either Flaxley, Littledean. My research for Thomas Penn, born 1857 says that he was born in Lydbrook. Thomas Penn (born Lydbrook) was married to Emma Walker (born Ruspidge 1859). These are my grandfather and mother. Am I on the right track?
Perhaps you can help me.
Thank you
Margaret Baldwin (nee Penn)

He was living in Flaxley/Littledean and Newnham enumeration district, his place of birth is recorded as East Dean then West Dean; East Dean would certainly fit with Lydbrook, and West Dean would fit with the Worral Hill side of the valley leading from Upper Lydbrook down to Lydbrook ( on the River Wye)

Many thanks, slowhands. I have another avenue for me to go, ie. the Pritchard Family.
On my Mother's side I am researching Thomas Turner born l844 and his wife, Susan Turner who was born in Monmouth in 1846. I cannot find anything that refers to her maiden name. My mother, who died in 1999 at the age of 99, always said that her maiden name was Morgan, but it could have been Morris.
Perhaps you may have some information on the above.
Many thanks,
Margaret Baldwin

Slowhands, thank you very much.
The l88l census information regarding Thomas Turner and Susan Turner is my great grandfather and great grandmother. Their daughter Elizabeth is my grandmother. The l872 information regarding Susan Morgan and Thomas Turner seems a likely line to follow.
It would also appear that I have Penn/Pritchard connection in common with Ann Suttie.
Once again, many thanks.
Yours, Margaret Baldwin
