I was able to visit Lydbrook last year and was very pleased to find that the Anchor Inn was still in being as a free house. The owner was most helpful and showed me archived literature and photos of Lydbrook and also showed me a list of previous owners hanging on the wall. My interest here is that my Grandfather was landlord from 1915 to 1924 followed by my Grandmother to 1935.
