John and Elizabeth Teague Walford Marriage date? (General)

by deanrclarke, Monday, February 04, 2008, 01:43 (6143 days ago)

According to the IGI the above Christened their first child in 1763, the only IGI marriage I can find of John and Elizabeth is in 1754 in Brilley Herefordshire, this would seem unlikely due to distance of time and location. Any help/ advice as always appreciated.

Its funny that brick walls in the end only appear to be hurdles, I seem to have moved a generation back in most of my most dirrect families recently. Thanks Gill, if this marriage is not the correct one it would be amazing. Am I being greedy in asking if your database can link me to

James Teague Christening: 27 NOV 1721 Walford, , Hereford, F: James Teague Mother: Elizabeth

Hanah <Teague>Christening: 25 JAN 1716 Walford By Ross, Hereford Mother: Elizabeth Teague.

I am also taking a guess that they will lead back to the Ruaradean Teagues eventually as they seem to like to get married oin Walford

Hello Dean

Now that would be asking a lot. The James bapt 1721 parents James Teague & Elizabeth had siblings baptised at Ruardean, Elizabeth 1717 and Martha 1726. A marriage I have as a possible is 17 Nov 1716 Gloucester Cathederal, to an Elizabeth Croose who was listed as from Walford.

I don't know that your John links to these, none of their 10 children are named James, perhaps you should be looking for a William, Thomas or Daniel. For a time I had bagged James as mine, as looking for a James born circa 1721 - 1728 age 30 and upwards on marriage licence in 1759. I am also looking for a connection to Edward & Eleanor from Ruardean.

Best wishes...Gill
