I have a certificate for the marriage of Thomas Robertson to Jane Burbridge in the Parish Church of Painswick (this is near Stroud) but it is odd in that Thomas is described as a widower and Jane as a spinster. Her father's name is Thomas Burbridge (He must have been her previous father-in-law???)

All a bit strange!

Jane Burbridge marries Thomas Robinson in Stroud 1838 (have you got the date for the marriage?)....there are several errors on the certificate though - JANE BURBIDGE + THOMAS ROBERTSON

I have her first husband Thomas Burbridge as being born 23 Jan 1810 Didbrook wormington grange.

Jane and Thomas Burbridge had a daughter Jane born c1834

on 1841 census daughter Jane Burbridge 1833/34 is with her mother now Jane Robinson and her 2 children by Thomas Robinson who was in jail in 1841

I'm so sorry, I thought Didcot was in the Forest of Dean as so many of my relatives lived and still live there and I was baptised in Hope Mansell.

Jane Frances Burbridge was baptised in 26 Dec 1833 in the parish of Didbrook to Jane and Thomas Burbridge of the Parish of Didbrook, Wormington Grange. Thomas died in 1901 and I can't find any trace of their daughter after her birth. Jane, mother, married Thomas Robinson and they had at least 5 more children. Does anyone know anything about her???
