William FEEBERY born East Dean 1861 (General)
hello my name is Alan and i am new to the forum,
i am looking for information on my grandfather william Feebery's family . according to the records he was born in East Dean 1861,
he moved to coalville in leicestershire in about 1870
and i have traced a comprehensive family tree from then onwards.
but have been stumped going further back,... so far.
i have found other Feeberys in Crickhowell and Bedwelty registered.
but our name is often mispelt.
and they may not be relatives. as we have no welsh connection as we know to.
any ideas? or info would be gladly recieved.

Thanks you Bertha and Slowhands for the help and info,
I have found some other mention of Feebery's in the past but have discounted them due to the corruption in spelling,
Was this , or rather is this quite normal.
Now i see i was a little hasty in doing that, i suppose that many before 1870 did not get much if any schooling , and so spelling is not going to be their 'forte' when it comes to writing or stating their surname.
so i can see how this has occured.
another slight dilemma is that i have found Another William Feebery on The Henson Family tree which was on the Intenet quite a few years ago.
who was born in Charlton Kings /Cheltenham in 1862 who i had tied into my tree.
however the 1901 census status born gloucestershire aged 40 for william.
which would make 1861 the more correct.
also i have from the latter day saints website the Coalville / born East Dean connection.
Not easy is it !
now i just have to find out who this lot are !
I wonder if there are any local history site like this one in Crickhowell.
