Looking for more info on BATTS family in Coleford around 1900’s . Edward and Ethel, children Fred, Edward, Steven, May, Stella , Trevor. Also the meaning of the surname batts

Not quite sure what information you need, but from the Coleford marriage and Cemetry records we have:

Ethel Batts died 11 June 1958, buried in Coleford Cemetry 14 June 1958 age 68 wife of Edward address 38 Sunny Bank, Coleford.

Edward Batts died 25 Jan 1973 burial of Ashes in Coleford Cemetry 5 Feb 1973 retired Labourer died in Lydbrook Hospital age 83

Stephen John Batts died 20 Mar 1993 buried in Coleford Cemetry 26 Mar 1993 age 72 retired died at Dilke Hospital Cinderford

May Batta married Cuthbert Enoch Bradley 19 April 1947

Stella Batts married Ronald Wilson 31 May 1952

Edward George Batts married Eileen Dorothy Knight at Lydbrook on 6 Nov 1746.

They had twins Janis & Linda born Q3 1949.

Linda married Barry L Thomas in Bristol Q1 1969 they had 2 children

Janis married Robert T Hutton in Bristol Q4 1969 they had 1 child.
