I hadn't expected such a prompt response, so I must apologise immediately by saying that some of the material you provided I already have. (I have an online subscription to Ancestry so have been able to access BMD information and also Census records. For the record, Dennis Bowdler and Marjorie Joan Scoble were my grandparents.

It may be better if I start a new discussion thread focusing much more specifically on the questions I have.
