Looking for any information on John Smith born in Coleford, Forest of Dean in about 1834. He married Priscilla Roof (possibly her name could have a different spelling). They had a number of children - John, Freedom (Vedam), Maria, Henry, Priscilla, Aaron and Maryann.

They may have been travellers, but there is no evidence of them with regard to the Forest of Dean traveller sites. I believe they may not have been travellers originally, but took to the road after living in Gloucestershire for some time. I could be wrong about this.

John Smith may have a Scottish connection. Any information on John Smith or Priscilla Roof would be welcome.
