I have wondered if my Monmouth THOMAS YEATES line and your BENJAMIN YEATES line connect.

Have looked and puzzled!

Have yet to understand the various connections. It is interesting to note that Benjamin seems to go though lines other than your own.

Benjamin Yeates m Harriet Farmer or Farrer @ Dixton Newton 24th Oct 1802
There was a Benjamin Yeates 7 Nov 1779 Staunton by Monmouth s/o Richard & Jane
George Yeates b. Staunton 1829 ish

There does seem to be a connection to Newland /Staunton/Dixton Newton and Monmouth in my Yeates/Yates line.

My Thomas Yeates was b. approx. 1800. (1861 has b. Monmouth. )
Have a possible candidate For Thos.Yeatesat Staunton:
Thomas Yeates 27 May 1799 father William
Henry Yeates 9 Jan 1803 s/o Wm & Mary
IGI has Emanuel Yeates 6 Feb 1803 Staunton Ben & Harriet
Ben m. Harriet Farrer at Dixton Newton 24 Oct 1802 as above. This Ben & Harriet at Monmouth.
Think Farrers had some sort of shoe business???? Although I cannot find the note that I made.
All these Yeates seem to be shoe makers or in that line. My gt gt grandmother Elizabeth nee Smith wife of Thomas had a 'wet fish' shop in Monmouth.

It is very difficult as Monmouth is on the border . Would be interested in your thoughts .
