Well done Margaret, even though my gut feel she must have sailed from Cardiff was completely wrong, ah well...
Please keep us uptodate especially if you find out why she emmigrated, was she alone or ?, whether she was already a mother, and the origins of Thos Davey her eventual husband.

ps by then the SS Teutonic was an old liner who had sadly seen better days. She had been built for the same White Star Line, and in the same Belfast shipyard, as the later Titanic. Indeed, when launched in early 1889, she was the first White Star ship not to have square rigged sails ! It's interesting to read she was built as an armed "merchant auxiliary cruser" sporting eight 4.7" calibre guns !, soon removed before entering passenger service. Whether this exercise was just a means to an end (eg gaining financial assistance from the Government), or because there was already a fear of impending world wars, is perhaps debatable.
