Hi MPG, thanks for your great suggestion, I'm ashamed I didn't think of that !
THANKS especially for the link to the Glos Archives Document, VERY usefull especially wrt the "DF Mercury" now "Forester" Archives held by Cinderford Library which would have covered Newnham. Only a few weeks ago I was quizzing The Forester staff(my sister) on this very subject and had decided to ask the Library for precise clarification, thanks for saving me wasting their valuable time.
Current contact details for Cinderford Library are in link below. My recent experiences show they are still bedevilled by technical problems wrt the Council website contact pages and direct emails, but the excellent staff at Cinderford are great once they receive a phonecall, letter or a personal visit of course, ably led by Lisa Robinson.

Another possible course would be the British Newspaper Archive site, see this thread, altho this Burial may be too recent to be covered by their archives.
