Further to the last one.
Emma JOYNES in the 1861 census looks even more likely as her birthplace is given as Coleford.
Looking again at the 1911 census for Anne SMITHSON, it would appear that the offspring that had died was Fred (GRO birth 1875 Q2 v9b p576 mothers name JOYENS, and GRO death 1902 Q1 Leeds v9b p341 age 26 (= birth 1875 as not yet reached his birthdate).
