Whitesmith as opposed to blacksmith (General)

I was interested to know what a whitesmith was, so have looked it up. It was someone who worked with tin, enamel, light metals, etc. This ties in with the area's industry, whether immediately local or in South Wales. I have found several of my extended F of D family, if not engaged as blacksmiths worked in the tin industry.
