Thank you, that fills in some gaps. I discovered earlier today that my membership of Ancestry does not let me see the London Registers, must do something about that.

I had found the entries you mention on IGI but without the added detail of address and occupations so thank you for that. According to IGI the Jabez, son of Jabez, you mention died a year later. I wonder if the group baptism was due to infant Jabez being sickly? Joseph and Jabez were born in Rotherhithe but I have no access to those registers to see if they were baptised previously. I now need to trace the father's, Joseph the shipwright, origins but it is not looking likely that it was the Forest of Dean.
