Elizabeth Jenkins b Newland 1833 (General)
I am also investigating the Jenkins family of Clearwell who lived in the house I now live in. We are next to the well, and the Wyndham Arms and the 1851 census clearly puts the Richard/Susannah Jenkins family next to the Wyndham, confirmed by the 1856 Kellys directory. Our house is split into 2 now but was once one largish house until the 1850's. This would seem to cnfirm the Upper Cross connection. Also Peter and Esther and granddaughter Elizabeth are showen in 1851 as living the other side of the Wyndham probably in one of thecottages up towards the school. Perhaps you could post you current thoughts on this.
