Origin of the name Tomblins Ditch - Forest of Dean FHT Forum

I have just read with interest the post about Mary Pullen/Tomblins Ditch. Several of my ancestors were of the surname Tomblins and came from the Coleford district.Does anyone have any advice as to where I may be able to find the origin of the name as I am now wondering if there is any connection.
