The Primitive Metodist Chapel Ellwood (General)
Tony,
The Methodist Chapel in Ellwood is still there ! and holds a regular Sunday service. The Chapel was built in 1875 to replace a smaller one which then became the (Sunday) School room. There are two graveyards, one attached to the Chapel and an older one between the Chapel and the former schoolroom (now privately owned). No records of the original graveyard exist as far as I know. There is a record of the memorials and some unmarked graves in the 'new' graveyard, it was recorded by members of fod family history some years ago. The first burial in the new section was in 1914.
I believe some baptisms that took place there were recorded as being held at Lydney.
