On the Gloucestershire Records Office Genealogical Database www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/familyhistory there is a Will of a William WOOD (U) 1832 (Nailer) of Newland/Clearwell - may be he had workhouses making nails???? Esther was also a NAILER!!! (1861 census)
Burial of William WOOD 31 December 1831 at Newland (of Clearwell)- age 85 years
