Thomas HAWKINS 1857 Old Engine / Lydbrook - prior thread (General)

It is a poser, isn't it? I can only hope that there is a living descendant of one of these people who knows the story. My own theory (for what it's worth) is that Enoch, Thomas, et al, were the children of Henry's dead brother. The problem is that record keeping in those days appears to be done in a perfunctory fashion.
My only hope is, as I say, someone will have intimate knowledge of this family. As I live in Lancashire, and am two generations removed from the F.O.D. , I have no local knowledge, and know no-one in the area. Quite a stumbling block.
