Boar's Head, Monmouth (General)

Hi
I found this information in the book "The pubs of Monmouth, Chepstow and the Wye valley" by Heather Hurley

The Boar's head dated from the late 18th century and it was licenced to Matthew Wilde in 1822. It was auctioned by the mortgagees in 1863 and continued to trade until the 1870 when Miss Sarah Roberts was the landlady.

Looking at a map in the book the pub appears to have been fairly near the top of Monnow street on the left as you go up the street.

Hope this is helpful
