HILL, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of Berkeley, county Gloucester, 4 miles S. of Berkeley, its post town, and 6½ S. of the Berkeley Road railway station. The village, which is small and wholly agricultural, is situated on the river Severn, which is here more than 2 miles wide.
