7th Battalion Gloucester Regiment (General)
Thank you for that, grampy never really spoke much to anyone about the War, dad only knew the names of the places he went too.
I was given his service medals in 1972 to look after.
The dates are interesting
To Tidworth. Jan. 1915 Basingstoke. Feb. 1915 Blackdown, Aldershot. June 1915 sailed from Avonmouth. July 1915 landed at Gallipoli. Jan. 1916 to Egypt
15th of June 1916 he was definately still in the area, He is listed as present at the death of Frederick his baby son, Cinderford Bridge, East Dean.
