James BENNETT 1783 Mitcheldean (General)

Hello there,
Do you know whether this Thomas Bennett was a son of Thomas Bennett who was baptised at Ruardean on 1 May 1749? This Thomas senior is likely to have been a son of Richard Bennett and Ann Morse. I am trying to track the ancestry of James Bennett who was a Freeminer with interests in the Cheltenham Protector Coal Company. He had claims to part of Regulator 1, 2 and 3, and also with a claim in 1841 (together with Thomas Morse, chemist and druggist in Hereford)) to Independent or Thatch Pit.James Bennett died in 1841 aged 58, so he is possibly another son of Thomas Bennett and Jane Cowles.
Thanks and regards,
Denise Thompson
