Our branch of the Skipp family seems to have come from the Ledbury, Herefordshire area, and moved to Monmouthshire around the 1850's.
About that time, Thomas Skipp, my ancestor, went to India. If you are interested in the little booklet about "History of the Skipp Family" 15th Century
to Thomas Skipp of Usk's death in 1905, please let me know - it's scanned! Do you have a family tree of your branch? Maybe we could compare notes?
