I wonder if somebody could help me please. I am trying to find my great great great grandfather and mother Charles Williams b: 1786 and Elizabeth Williams b: 1787, I'm not sure if they were born in Llandogo or Trelleck. Charles was a Master Mariner and the owner of the Trow 'Joseph'. They had 6 children, one being my great great grandmother Elizabeth Williams b: 1818 in Llandogo. Elizabeth had an illegitimate child called Emma b: 1845, according to the Census's she was born in Cardiff, but I have checked with Glamorgan Archives and they cannot find a birth for that date or around it. The next Census she appears on is back in Monmouth as a Servant in 1861. In 1871 she is living with her mother at Pilstone Farm, Llandogo. In 1872 she marries my great grandfather William Rosser, who is also illegitimate, his mother being Elizabeth Rosser b: 1821 in Clytha. She marries John Madley, not William's father, in Llandogo in 1849. William becomes a sailor on the "Hannah Louisa" in 1869. In 1881 Emma and William are found staying in the Ship Inn, Llandogo, with their 5 boys, one being my grandfather Charles Richard Rosser b: 1877. Can anybody shed any light on these people please.

Thanking you.
Kathryn Barnard.
