Roe Buck Inn Ruardean; Lewis Bradley - Wigan RFC (General)

Regarding the above-mentioned BRADLEY family who ran the Roebuck Inn for several generations, young Lewis Bradley gained considerable fame as a rugby player at Pontypool and then especially at Wigan Lancashire. I stumbled across his interesting story a few months ago while researching another thread about the Roebuck Inn, his life story is covered in detail in this excellent magazine from 2004, the article starts at page 18.

I now belatedly see this subject was covered by the venerable Slowhands in this old forum thread from about the same time, perhaps he was involved in researching it ? As can be seen, sadly Lewis' promising career at rugby's top level was ended by WW1. This thread also covers Lewis Bradley's family tree.
