Iron, The Romans and Dean. (General)

Shame, basically it is a video of Time Team excavating a Mansio on Steyne Street, roadhouse where Roman officials could rest, exchange horses and it was also a tax collection point, probably and mainly iron which was a controlled substance. It was big and there was substantial built up area too for traders etc. It was abandoned long before the Romans left because the iron ran out. Hence the increased importance of Forest of Dean.
