That was quick! Hoopmaker also ends in R but by time Hannah married there may not have been a need for wooden hoops for barrels or buckets or even ladies dresses. The females all seemed to be seamstresses at some time but he had access to a hazel coppice at Mork so may have made hoops for barrels out of hazel and ash as barrels were used for transporting solid items on the Wye Trows as could be rolled up planks etc better than crates or sacks.
