Admin History Plump Hill Board School opened in 1878. It became a council school after the Education Act 1902, and a county primary school after the Education Act 1944. The school closed in July 1984 and the buildings were then used as the Plump Hill Annexe to the Royal Forest of Dean Centre for Environmental Studies at the Wilderness; this closed in 2011, and the buildings were reopened as the Oakraven Field Centre in 2014
