Hi there. Hester (Esther) Griffiths, born 1873 at Blakeney, married my ancestor Thomas Margrate b 1857 at Gatcombe, in 1891 at Newport, Monmouthshire. Thomas was a salmon fisherman. They had several children including:

Mary Emma born 1893 at Westbury

Lillian (Lily) May born 1895 at Westbury.

Thomas Rupert Margrate, born 1894 at Westbury on Severn. Thomas died in WW1 and the following is the excert from Tyne Cot Memorial.

Another son Alec Edwin Margrate born 1897 at Westbury on Severn married Edith Olive Miles in 1927 at Westbury on Severn. Alec is shown in WW1 pension records 1914-1920. Edith was born in 1904 at Westbury.

In the 1891 Census at Etloe Farm, Awre, Glos, Thomas and Hester live next to William and Mary Barrington. William is a plantlayer born in 1842. William and Mary were married at Westbury on Severn in December 1867. Mary is Thomas’ sister born 1847 at Awre.

Their daughter Dora Elizabeth born in 1899 at Westbury, married Tom Frapple in 1924 at Westbury on Severn.
