Oliver LUFF Baptism in St Briavels help please (General)

hi jean, just saw your message, have spoken before about our Luff connections through th Monmouth family history group. Suzannah Luff married John Reynolds & thats where my husbands family comes in, do you remember. You're still looking for Oliver Luffs birth/baptism in St Briavels I see. I did look last time I went to Gloucester Records Office, but didnt find a baptism for Oliver ( you thought about 1770 ish didn't you) I did find a burial for an Oliver Luff in St Briavels tho, about that time, maybe 1772, will have to check my folder from the RO,(im on my daughters laptop at the moment, im stuck on the sofa with a bad back & will look when I move later & let you know). Why do you think he was born in St Briavels ? How old was he when he died in Trellech ? I will have another look next time im in Gloucester, incase I missed anything last time. I find the older records hard to read & understand, I havent had that much practice, they confuse me quite a lot!!!!! I had to ask a man working there what the Latin meant in the parish records & he told me it meant died!!!!
