I've just got in, v.sorry for the unintentional confusion, I was rushing trying to help before going out which backfired allround as I missed my "deadline" anyhow !.

Yes the 15 yrs clearly wrong given parents age too, thought that while out.
I had looked on FreeBMD no obvious fits for Ivy P Watkins but several Ivy Watkins, clearly not a rare name, as expected of course.

Police eh ?, thats scuppered my thoughts, now thinking perhaps ex Army (in India) ?. Could still easily lead to an educated engineer son ?.

I see now that Jno is official FH acronym for John.
Given your comment re the police line then Daketon is his actual name then !, another new one to me = I do like this constant learning process...
