Jeff, thanks for all the good thought you've been putting into this Ivy Watkins search. Yes, I have checked Papers Past, and coroners inquests etc, and also immigration lists. No luck with any of that. I have been to Auckland (in the North Island - a significant journey from where I live in the South Island!) and visited MOTAT - the transport museum there, with no answers. I will try Graham Stewart, thanks.

Regarding the Forest of Dean link - I do not have any strong lead that brought me to your forum - just that my local Genealogy Group friends suggested the forum as a good active group to seek help from. They were right, and I am grateful for your responses! My search continues!
