Hello all. Evangeline Morgan (Marfell) is my great-grandmother and the daughter referred to (Evelyn) is my grandmother. Evelyn was born 8.21.1902. She always told us she came from England when she was 10, so this holds with the July 1913 crossing on Meganic. Years ago, I did much genealogy, still have an interest, but not the time for much research. I was thrilled to read this and perhaps get back into it. I do know that Evangeline and Louis (and Evelyn) lived for a time in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Back when I was doing research, which was pre-online, I searched for marriage records in both Edmonton and Illinois but was unsuccessful in finding anything. I'm not sure about a 1911 marriage date, the year at least doesn't seem correct. Additionally, Evangeline's husband was very much alive when she left - our family has always believed that they probably did not marry, but said they did. My father knows Louis as "grandpa Marfell."
