Sarah JF BOWDLER 1913 & Cecil BOLT (General)

Hello!

I have just discovered your wonderful website as part of my family history research.

While I'm still in the early stages of my research I know that my grandfather's family come from the Forest of Dean and this is an area I'm anxious to explore further.

My great-grandfather was Oliver William Bowdler, birth registered in Littledean in 1883. He married Lilian Maude Evans in 1908. His father was George Godwin Bowdler, born in Flaxley in 1851. George Godwin married Sarah Jane Edwards (born 1854, East Dean) in 1873. I know from Census records that George was a gamekeeper, and then an innkeeper (the New Zealand Inn at Newnham).

George Godwin's children (to my knowledge) were Mary, William John, Tom Edwin, George Godwin (junior), Sidney Francis, Oliver William, Hubert Roy, Edwin Charles, Nellie Beatrice, Florence Ethel, and Anne Gwendoline.

I've seen some discussion threads here about Sidney Francis Bowdler, but if anyone has information about Oliver William Bowdler or any of this family then I'd be most grateful to hear from you.
