Karaka,
Its a pleasure. Interestingly though there is a John Watkins (a Baker) born around 1819 at Newent, in the 1881 census (which is free to look at on familysearch.org) who is married to a Harriet. Details below. I wonder if John was widowed by Mary and then married again?
John WATKINS - Head - M - Male - 62 - Newent, Gloucester, England, Baker
Harriet WATKINS - Wife - M - Female - 57 - Newent, Gloucester, England
Mary JEYNES - Visitor - W - Female   60   Newent, Gloucester, England - Dressmaker
Source Information: Dwelling - Culvert Street, Newent, Gloucester, England

I guess it would take someone to look back to see whether John was a Baker in the previous census' in Newent, and what happened to them all in 1871.
Cheers
Sean
