Think we need to find out from 'Troyta' more information of Thomas MATTHEWS i.e. age and residence in the USA etc.

The Thomas (the Innkeeper) born Knowbury, Shrops & Maud MATTHEWS in my previous reply - may also have gone to the States...

Not sure who 'this chappie is' he was born in 1864 and his father was Benjamin - but he does get through a few 'wives'
