Thanks Mike, interesting stuff.

I guess I didn't find that one because I had "Lea" in my search field, good old FamilySearch has it as being "Crooses, NEWLAND, Glos" - with no mention of "Lea" ... And this was despite my searching Lea Glos as well as Lea Herefordshire. Ah well.

To be fair when I first took-up this hobby, all the text books told me to beware LDS cum FamilySearch and their poor transcriptions, so this had to happen eventually.

Must admit I still always think of Newland as being Coleford way, but yes they're correct.

Think it's def time for me to invest again in a proper subscription.
