Thanks MPG for your hard work, I have been beaten by this query and was waiting for one of you more experienced posters to show me the light. Last night I searched all the usual Dean & Glos free websites, as I'm sure you have, and found no likely hits whatsoever.
I'd be grateful for your opinion, but after searching the LDS site I found that Nathaniel Hillman and especially alongwith Priscilla Hillman doesn't seem a particularly common combination in the Records anywhere. Using the FoD PRs advanced search didnt give any remotely close hits re Births to this family, except for the aforementioned mariage of course.

The Glos NonConformists site gives a set of apparently relevant Records for what looks like two or even three Nathaniel Hillmans;
first a Weaver from Miserden (Stroud district) and possibly his or his son's Will from 1805, a miller from Rodborough.
Secondly six Baptisms between 1805 and 1826 born to Nathaniel & Anna, he is a Baker again in Rodborough. I assume this baker is associated with the earlier miller, altho' the miller could have been in the weaving trade. No Thomas tho !?.
These Baptisms show the mother as "Anna F HEATH" - does this indicate they weren't married ?

Clearly these Records appear to link into your findings re Bisley, North Glos.

My confusion last night, that Nathaniel and Priscilla have travelled around the country a lot, seems to have been born-out by your findings. I wonder if the family is linked to the waterways ?. I see Bisley is on the canal network..? That said the Glos NonConformist site's Canal Records Set didn't produce any of the above Records.

This site has a forum but I don't think it's active ?

These results may be worth studying Nigel ?

Nigel, what is your reference that Thomas was born in "Forest Glos". Is this the 1841 Census ?. I don't have full access to it but I do see some Hillman entries, possibly related, around Lydbrook & Newland amongst the above LDS hits.
I wonder if the "Forest" element is either an incorrect census entry or just not the Dean forest ??
