Thomas NASH born in 1700s and his descendants (General)

by Jefff @, West London, Middlesex, Saturday, March 10, 2018, 00:58 (2238 days ago) @ Clements Tump

I am a little confused.
This is in reply to several posts.
Matthewtanash says that Richard Nash b1779 was the son of Richard, b1746 and Mary Harrison, b1749 married 1767 in Newland. This marriage is not on FoD, or FamilySearch, but a Richard Nash-Elizabeth Morse marriage Newland 21.11.1767 is in FamilySearch (no fathers’ details) and ancestry (do not subscribe so can’t open the entry).

Have joined the Nash group but Yahoo does not seem to like me not having a yahoo email address!

Hi
Have only looked at yr first query, but I can confirm the above marriage is indeed on both FamilySearch and in FoD PRs.

Don't know how you use FS, I find their search engine is very much one of the "less is more" type, using minimal input (names and maybe England, or Glos, NOT Newland) and then filtering, FS has

Name Richard Nash
Spouse's Name Mary Harrison
Event Date 28 Sep 1767
Event Place Newland,Gloucester,England
Citing this Record

"England Marriages, 1538–1973 ," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NLCN-WMZ : 10 February 2018), Richard Nash and Mary Harrison, 28 Sep 1767; citing Newland,Gloucester,England, reference , index based upon data collected by the Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City; FHL microfilm 856,960.

FoD PRs has TWO marriages for 1767;
